@stephen_wigmore @andrew_lilico Indeed; although sadly the misreading of NewTestament scriptures goes back a v long way, is seen in the early church fathers onwards, was expressed in replacement theology, and can be seen in lamentable episodes throughout church history. Mainstream church & not just nutters.

@JassemTamim Tbh there’s little likelihood of it being easily resolved as it’s strongly held by large tranches of churches across the board. And there’s also strongly held disagreement with replacement perspective elsewhere in the church...

@JassemTamim Finally! The evils of ‘replacement theology’ have been at the roots of so much. Luther’s hymns were sung on Kristallnacht. Mind you, admitting the fact and actually countering the teaching may be v different. (I say ‘may’ 🙄)
