Jürgen Klopp on why he accepted the Germany job after saying he had run out of energy at Liverpool:
“I never ran out of football I ran out of energy for that job. Liverpool demanded absolutely everything from me every single day for nearly nine years. At some point, your body and your mind tell you it’s time to stop.
Managing Germany is completely different. You’re not fighting every three days, you’re not living at the training ground, and you’re not carrying the weight of an entire club every single morning.
People who call it a contradiction don’t understand football. I didn’t lose my passion I simply needed to breathe again. Now I feel refreshed, hungry and ready for a new challenge.
When your country calls, it’s difficult to say no. I believe this is the right job at the right time, and I have absolutely no regrets.”

🚨🎙️ Jurgen Klopp: “I won everything there was to win with Liverpool. I left with no regrets.
Now it’s time to do it for my country.
France have Mbappe. Argentina have Messi... Germany have HEART and PASSION.
That’s enough for me.
I can't wait to meet Wirtz and the rest.” 🇩🇪❤️
