Proskurin has changed agencies and was picked early in the CHL import draft to go to Victoria. Highly likely he plays there next year which will offer him a starters role on a competitive but not overly dominant team. I am now much more confident in his development path to hit.
Vladimir Proskurin 123rd to @StLouisBlues is a PHENOMENAL pick. His talent is off the charts. Incredible athleticism, skating and lightning quick processing speed. Will need to adjust his approach to the game to succeed in the NHL but he has all the tools to do so.
Flyers take another goalie, landing Marek Sklenicka at #120.
Athletic-forward game with a rigid base. Not the best skater, nor play reader. Good compete, needs to build a projectible game, and unsure if he has the foundation to do so.

St. Louis selects Vladimir Proskurin at #123
Insane upside. High-end athlete, skater, and play reader. Can struggle with rebound control. Could be one of the steals of the draft.

Carolina goes with Ryder Fetterolf at #125
Love this pick. Listed just below six feet, a high-end skater with the perfect combination of compete and composure. Won CHL Goalie of the Year and for good reason.

Tobias Tvrznik to the Colorado Avalanche at #126
A re-entry candidate, less dynamic, but has shades of Trejbal. Challenges well, decent smarts. Probably more of a lower-ceiling, higher-floor guy, though.

Sharks select Brady Knowling #127
One of the most polarizing goalie prospects. The NTDP starter has a bit of everything, and a lot of nothing at the same time. He'll be tricky, with each pro coming with a kink to iron out. Tracking is biggest issue.

Filip Ruzicka to the Minnesota Wild #137
Huge goalie, who is athletic for his size and who greatly improved over the course of the season in Brandon. Lack of body control and technical consistency could be his fatal flaws.
#2026NHLDraft
Parker Snell to the Columbus Blue Jackets at #142
Really impressive skater who has shown occasional flashes of play-reading ability and strong tracking. Consistency is a real problem here, but could be a decent bet if he finds his game on a night-by-night basis.

Devils take Daniil Rusakovich at #149
Decent athlete and skater with compete and play reading habits. Falls into a lot of the MHL goalie pitfalls: questionable positioning, erraticism, with added tracking concerns.
#2026NHLDraft
Matvei Nikonovich to Pittsburgh at #160
Strong skating, small goalie who plays low to the ice. Similar to Roberto Henriquez (who we love and has yet to have gone yet). Angling and anticipation are the areas to improve.

Zachary Jovanovski to Carolina at #165
A fairly explosive goaltender with good size and athleticism. Will likely start for the pending Memorial Cup host Guelph Storm. Can improve tracking, composure, and edges.
#2026NHLDraft
Gleb Peshkov to Anaheim at #178
Peshkov is one of the most insane people. Absurd flexibility and an impressive skater. Just need to turn him into a goaltender. Insane upside potential, but unbelievably raw.

Tampa takes Stepan Shurygin at 186.
The Russian re-entry single-handedly stole games for the Spirit, with high-end flexibility. Skating and tracking remain areas to improve.

Dallas takes Anton Emil Wilde Larsen at #187
Played at just about every level in Denmark. Stole a couple games internationally with his compete. Reactive with some athleticism, but rigid. A potential import pick may provide future clarity.
#2026NHLDraft
Vegas takes Matthew Minchak at #191
Another re-entry, he stole the starting gig in Kingston. Good size and relatively well-rounded, but nothing jumps off the page.

Alexandre Raymond to Colorado at #215
Makes sense a later guy. Good size, great play in a small sample. Good on his posts and has shown some flashes of good reads.
#2026NHLDraft
Louis-Antoine Denault to the Panthers at #215
They signed Cooper Black and decided they want another. Unlike Black, Denault struggles immensely with his body control and mobility. A bet on size, and not much else.

Winnipeg lands Jack Parsons at #220
A guy who should have gone in previous drafts, a pretty easy projection for an AHL starter, potentially backup if he hits. Pretty structured, smart goalie. Lacking dynamism and questions about tracking.
