A book review episode!
Tim is joined by mystery novel fiend @SayNothingGame to discuss Piranesi. It takes place in a sprawling and unusual mansion, not unlike the setting of @createcastmire ! There are cool parallels to planeswalking from the local POV.

It's time to test @createcastmire ! Hosts @madolaf and @TimFReilly talk through how you can join testing. We've got a fun new way to track tests that we're super excited about!

Great episode today! We bring on @MonoWhiteBorder to live brew a commander deck. The twist is the commander is a new card from @createcastmire. MWB and Adam team up to pick two existing cards and design two new cards for this deck.

You can't catch New Card of the Day! Nyeh Nyeh! Our first attempt at a planeswalker in Castmire! The minuses are typical PW stuff, but the shell game of the zero ability is the star. How will it play out?
You'll get the NEW Card of the Day you deserve. Our Plots are like Sagas, but advanced when you draw a card, leading to surprise activation. This one you may not want to accelerate!
No one expected the NEW Card of the Day! We've toyed around with Castmire being a former/current hub of interplanar travel. What are this mythic creature's motives? What are some sweet combos?
Oh yeah? My NEW Card of the Day disagrees! And so does all their friends! A Rabid Bite variant with just a liiiitle bit of spice, as multi-inhabiting is a rare occurrence. It makes inhabits into a bit of a resource.
I just wanted to rest my tapped muscles, but the NEW Card of the Day stopped that! An experimental way to give red the ability to deal with some of the growing threats in the set. Feels White in color pie, but Red should be able to, too?
Our NEW Card of the Day was born in secret, but now it sees the light! One of our focus channel cards, this card is easier to cast than Charmed Sleep, but needs a Door to have full effect. A nice nudge towards what will be a common strategy in limited.
Episode is here!
What's it like to contribute to @magicdesigncast ? Our guest Perry went from listener to contributor to channel leader! We talk about his experience and then dive into the new cards added to Castmire.

Don't open that Card of the Day, we just got it sealed up! The pair of "Trapped" cards experiment with Visit costs that must be played. At some point you have to use a land drop to get this out. Does that meant it could be pushed? I have had this one in particular explode.
If you're here to stop Card of the Day, why are you making more of them? It's a conspiracy! A rare finisher in the tradition of Wake Thrasher. The mode of attacking all out doesn't always yield fruit, as blocks can take those creatures out before they untap. Maybe Visit then?
Card of the Day, Card of the Day, Card of the Day! We've the bio-exorcist from the afterlife to remove our living opponent. The crucial part of this card is sending it back into your library; we've seen it be immediately redrawn for the win in playtesting!
What's the worst that can happen if I pull this Card of the Day? The flavor of the tricky mansion is so strong here. In limited you might have 1 or 2 of these. How does it feel to be the opponent and not really know what the three cards do before they are searched?
If you keep bouncing on the Card of the Day, you're going to break something! Neither modes are exceptional, but we're talking a one mana spell. Combo with various steal effects and sacrifice payoffs to unlock its full potential.
Can't sleep... Card of the Day will eat me. A beef defender that can turn the corner late game. That does require your opponent to have tapped creatures. Unless they have evasive creatures (or Visit) it's unlikely the Bear will wake up. Doesn't stop it from causing nightmares...
I enjoy a scrambled Card of the Day to start my mornings. A Clue card mixed with Terrarion or Guild Globe. The second clause is written that way to help our sacrifice decks that eat artifacts for other purposes. What about this egg makes it a clue?
