We too are following locally available fish - enjoyed fresh tuna from Margate over the weekend. Its often difficult to access fresh fish in our rural area so we are taking advantage while we can, supporting the Tasmanian fishing industry and encouraging others to do the same
@croakeyblog@NRHAlliance read govt article about flu vaccination, referred to “adults and the elderly” At what point do we cease to be adults? As health consumer in aging society see this as worrying - we risk ‘adults’ making decisions for ‘the elderly’ - power in words #SDoH
Relates closely to walking beside people when offering help, letting them set the goals and the path to achievement, being culturally aware - applies in education health life ...Ability to a SDOH? common threads at #ruralhealthconf@NRHAlliance

More benefits of story telling & more evidence of the diversity of social determinants of health - do you have the time & capacity to read regularly to your kids? #bettertogether@NRHAlliance@croakeyblog
Statistics show children aren't getting enough fruit and vegetables. The simple act of reading aloud and sharing positive stories about food and nutrition can boost fruit and vegetable intake in young children, according to new research. https://t.co/KQp7cwWAEz
@NRHAlliance Please consider added difficulties of suffering a chronic health condition with meds bill coming out - young people trading food v meds when ends don't meet or expense passes to other family/friends & gets 'hidden', often impacting their budget #sdoh#bettertogether
The @NRHAlliance is going to consider joining the #RaiseTheRate campaign following today’s powerful presentation by @cassandragoldie on poverty as a key driver of poor health #sdoh
