Monday was a great visit to @colinhopper11 and our first phase (following last years trial). 7 of 9 bunkers #MegaFlo drained and #BunkerMat installed. Thank you @ElshamGolfClub. Great video of the opening of the short-game practice ground we designed, working with Booth Golf & Leisure, for Headingley Golf Club. By using imported fill from local construction projects it was built at no cost to the Club.

We have put our money where our mouth is and are developing our own mini-golf / putting course within the beautiful setting of Westminster Park in Chester, under the name Green Day Cafe & Golf. This adds to the 9-hole par-3 course we are also managing.

The totally redesigned 11th hole “Bridge” by Ken Moodie of @creative_golf had made a very average hole one of the Member’s favourites already. It asks a question of what club and what line, whilst not overly punishing a shorter shot of the higher handicapper #good2great

The new 9th green for the Alliss Course @FerndownGC is shaping up well with the expertise of @GreasleyGolf. It will allow the old green to become a new chipping green, next to the driving range, and, together with a new putting green, will provide a great practice facility.

Short-game area update

First ride-on mowing has now happened as mowing heights start to be reduced towards their finished levels ahead of opening

The planned date of that remains June 1 and will happen when we can now all surfaces a minimum of twice per week 👍

We’re been busy!! The 11th was with the exception of the railway left, a pretty ordinary hole. The bunkers weren’t in play for better players & punished only shorter hitters. Now with 2 demanding fairway bunkers at 220 and 250 decisions have to be made. What are you going to do?
