Sad to hear of the passing of veteran actor, Chief Kola Oyewo. A true icon of Nigerian theatre and cinema, he graced our screens with unforgettable performances in Saworoide as Oba Lapite, The Gods Are Not to Blame, Sango, Koseegbe, and many other classics. He was 80 years old.
May his soul rest in peace.

@ST_BUCHI_@heyitskunle@HighChiefOkoro Ojukwu fired the first shot. He invaded Midwest region and bombed Lagos. Nigeria made a mistake not to ext£rminate every single ibo in that war.
By now you lot aught to have stopped fooling with those beer parlour narrations your biased parents passed down to you. My fathers didn’t have any business with your warmongering fathers when they were running mad in your Eastern region. But the moment they attempted to cross to the other side of the Niger to our doorstep, they were put in their place.
Moral lesson, you can run mad and even enter market, that’s your headache. But the moment you bring your madness near our doorstep, we will use madness to cure your madness. And you know based on history, who has the superior madness.
Now go back home, and scold your parents for lying to you about your history.
Sam Amadi, keep your condescending lectures far away from Lagos. We are not your property, we are not your ambition, and we are not a land to be conquered by ballot or by bullying.
This soil is my heritage the land of the Awori, the Eko people, the true indigenes who built this city before it became the glittering magnet that draws everyone. Lagos is a living, breathing Yoruba city that has welcomed millions, But welcome does not mean surrender. Hospitality does not equal ownership.
Why is it always Lagos?
Out of 36 states, why do we never hear this aggressive entitlement about becoming Governor of Sokoto, Governor of Borno, Governor of Kano, or even Governor of Imo or Anambra? Why is the only governorship your people romantically claim “their right” the one that belongs to another man’s ancestral home? Why must every ambitious Igbo son be told that his destiny must culminate in taking Lagos, while their own states are left to wither?
You speak of rights. Fine. Every Nigerian has the right to live, work, and prosper anywhere in Nigeria. But no one has the right to gaslight an indigenous people into feeling guilty for wanting to retain control of their own patrimony. No one has the right to call us “bullies” simply because we refuse to be colonized twice, first by the British, now by ballot.
Develop your states.
Build Imo the way you dream of building Lagos. Turn Anambra and Abia into economic powerhouses that your children will be proud to govern. Stop teaching your people that the only success worth celebrating is the one achieved by capturing another man’s land.
That mindset is not ambition, it is parasitism dressed in political language.
we will never apologize for insisting that the soul and leadership of our state remain with those whose blood and ancestors are rooted here.
Call that what you want. We call it self-respect.
Please, I want to understand something.
What is this obsession among many Igbos with Lagos?
I don’t see Hausa people trying to claim Lagos, nor the Ijaws, but it always seems to come up with Igbos.
Sam Amadi is passionately urging his Igbo brothers to assert their rights in Lagos.
Why is it always Lagos?
@Riddwane@Achilles0055199@ThinkYoruba_1st pls when are you going to answer this man? I believe so much in you
@followlasg when are you going to set the record straight that Lagos is yoruba land !!!
You need to answer a fool according to his folly !!
They will never become gov in lagos state
@SamAmadi "Democratic citizenship" doesn't apply in ibo land? Maybe a p0grom or something will put an end to ibos madness in Yoruba land. We need to deal with you guys like seriously to understand how to respect boundary.
@ncheta_ewuzie@de_generalnoni@SamAmadi You never fought to exit Nigeria you wanted to expand and subjugate others. Biafraud war is an expansionist agenda packaged as secession.
What did ibo want from this Lagos, everything is Lagos, Lagos, Lagos, more reason we can't allow obi as the president and any mixed blood as Lagos State governor, or any South West for that matter, go and develop your region and leave south west alone
@instablog9ja This is one of the reasons I don’t like Sanwo Olu for dinning with Yibos, Yibos and Yoruba are not friends we are not related, we are forever enemies. Every Yoruba person supporting Yibos to aspire positions in Yoruba land MAY EVIL BEFALL ALL OF YOU 🙏
