@lloyd_rm@LFPME Can you also add further weight by pressing Sir Keir Starmer and the leadership of the Labour Party to LOUDLY assure the British electorate that they demand that the Israeli Government immediately cease the bombing of the Gaza Strip and the murder of innocent civilians.
@mrjamesob thank you for challenging Angela Rayner. I’m another lifelong labour voter, but they are losing me because of their lack of conviction and unwillingness to commit.
@mrjamesob Regarding the Titan submersible tragedy.
When initially I thought it was researchers and scientists in the submersible, they had my sympathy.
God forgive me, when I realised it was two billionaires on a jolly, I thought, “That’s two down… how many to go?”.
@JulianPScola@OECD I await with heart fluttering eagerness their views on the relative wetness of water, the location of the average bear’s fecal deposits and the religion of Sovereign of the State of Vatican City.
@HackneyAbbott
White immigrants to the UK can hide in plain sight, non-white immigrants don't have that option. Diane Abbott is right to differentiate between racism and prejudice. Beware those who seek to keep opposition fractured. #racism#prejudice#immigration#DianeAbbott"
@mrjamesob Rue Britannia was vanity cartooning that I created at the time. I look at my reflections on the situation in Iraq back then with a heavy heart at the mess we left and the damage we did
It is ridiculous to talk about alarm bells in government, when talking about education, or any other public sector. Alarm bells are all they hear. To them, it’s just static #R4Today
James O'Brien plays 'Bullseye: the Brexit edition' after Rishi Sunak went to Northern Ireland to tell the rest of Great Britain, 'look at what you could have won'.
@mrjamesob
@fascinatorfun@GeorgeMonbiot I don’t care if he is unelectable.I want a genuine opposition and real alternative suggestions for moving this country forward.
The electable ones I imagine you espouse, are all diluted versions of each other.
@GeorgeMonbiot@JasonDJudge I hadn’t understood what neoliberalism meant until about six years ago. Even now my grasp is rudimentary. It did, however, offer an explanation for the insanities and injustices that have plagued the UK since 1979.
If the government is trying to reduce the number of female prisoners - why has it built 500 new prison cells in women's prisons? And how much has that cost?
@EmmaBarnett tries to understand the logic of the prisons minister @lucyfrazermp

Fair enough that MacDonalds, BurgerKing, Subway and the like can profit from them outside the supposed protected educational environment, but in the schools they’re a captive market.
@mrjamesob As a supply teacher in many schools over the past 4 years, I’ve seen hugely divers offerings in school canteens where outsourced provision has resulted in a cynical and disgraceful use of children in the schools as a profit centre.
