@SecVetAffairs ...and even to this day, dentists and oral surgeons list 'trigeminal neuralgia' as a complication instead of the correct term of post-traumatic trigeminal neuropathy. It's long been a nomenclature problem, which results in the VA issuing denials. This needs to be fixed.
@SecVetAffairs I think you really need to READ and UNDERSTAND all the replies to this post. You are supposed to be helping homeless and those AT RISK OF HOMELESSNESS. You do absolutely *nothing* to KEEP veterans from losing their housing. You make us wait until we have LOST everything first.
@SecVetAffairs These issues can take years to finally get diagnosed. And I learned just weeks ago that I've been given the wrong diagnosis for decades. It's actually post-traumatic trigeminal neuropathy. But the signs and symptoms are nearly identical to trigeminal neuralgia...
@SecVetAffairs Not to mention, my actual problem wasn't even given a diagnosis at all for years. It's not my fault the doctors got it wrong. Your raters need to do better with taking into account when the SYMPTOMS first started and were documented, for complex issues like trigeminal neuralgia.
@SecVetAffairs If the raters had just bothered to accept my exams and nexus letter in 2024, I wouldn't be in this mess. But I need a real, intelligent human rater to look at my case because my diagnosis does not match, because I have been misdiagnosed for decades. They need to READ my letters.
@SecVetAffairs I was just barely hanging on, then I asked my abusive housemate to leave at the end of the lease. He decided to skip out on the lease early. Now I'm begging family and friends for help with rent pymts, while trying to put in *another* supplement to my claim to get what I'm due.
@SecVetAffairs I am not an alcoholic, I am not a drug addict, and I am not dissociative or delusional. I have really severe issues, service connected and secondary, which keep me unemployable. STRESS is one of my top triggers. Trying to get the VA to correct my claim is literally harming me.
@SecVetAffairs You expect me to stop paying rent, and get evicted, before you will help. I can't afford to get evicted, I have no money or physical ability to move all my belongings. I want to stay in this rental, so I always pay my rent first. I have zero money left after that.
@SecVetAffairs Vets like me who cannot work due to service connected disabilities get jacked around by the erroneous VA rating system for years. I've had to get civilian doctors to examine me, and pay out of pocket for exams, because I was never given them by properly qualified VA contractors.
@elonmusk Have you heard of Nova Labs? They do Helium Mobile, a DePIN project. I'd love to liquidate my pre-IPO stock. You can find it on Nasdaq Second Market, at $111.11 a share. I'm currently having financial issues, and this would be a great help. π Thank you.

@Styx666Official Also, become more aware of blue light, and bright light. Get some amber glasses from TrueDark for looking at your screen, especially after like 5 or 6pm, or at least 2hrs before bedtime. Turn down lights, and turn them towards orange hues after sunset. Makes a big difference.
@Styx666Official Did you make any headway on sleep? I have to stop drinking caffeine before 2pm to have the best shot at sleep. Before Noon is better, but I am a coffee sipper, not a glugger. At night, magnesium glycinate, and Natrol 5mg timed release melatonin, along with my valerian.
