@SimonBAnderson Thank you! You're correct this one is 3d printed and then filled and sanded a number of times
I doooo want to do some hand-sculpted things in future though, just to experiment with both methods
i dont show enough work in progress stuff
i was prototyping a toy figure of the peacock a few months back, but think i still need another few months to finalise it, paint it up, and solve what to do about that bloody big tail π€
@joesparks thank you! i do want to write up a few in-depth posts about the tail rig, shader development, and look dev, as there was some really fun stuff in working those out
right now tho i gotta pack and catch a flight so you may have to wait a month or so sorryyy
im no expert but an old animation tip i find really helpful for a lot of cases: turn off the legs while focusing on cog blockout and upper-body acting
many characters/creatures don't usually need to think hard about what their legs are doing, so neither should you!
@kurtruslfanclub omg i appreciate hearing that so much mike, i mustve gone thru a hundred palettes on it
i admire your colours are always 100% on point, idk how you do it!
@PizzaCatBoy nooo dont say that, you should totally do it! i spent sooooo long messing around trying to work out this one but its a fun sort of problem solving
@Zio_QQr thank you so much!
everything is 3d except for the far background (which originally was 3d before I realised I was creating too much work for myself when finalising colours hehe)
say hullo to my first indie toy π³
i've been itching to try this for years, its so exciting to learn a new medium!
I have a very small number of these fellas available π https://t.co/OaOU83Q7fG
