@sdho@hellodonavon I think you might be missing how much Pro Peggy voters want to crush Angie Craig. Especially in the core metro area after Operation Metro Surge there is no tolerance for a politician who voted to thank ICE after they did the same things in California first.
Its also worth noting that the Targaryen dynasty was doomed by the Dance. Before the Dance they ruled in the Valyrian style using dragons for power. Which meant they didn't need vast landholdings. And when the Dance ends they are now too weak to get the land they now need.
Because Team Green represents Andal tradition, law, and the Faith of the Seven over Valyrian dragon supremacy.
βTo those supporters, Targaryens are foreign, incestuous tyrants ruling through sheer nuclear terror. Supporting the Greens isn't about loving Targaryens, it's about using Westerosi law and Hightower diplomacy to shackle dragonlords to the realm's rules.
@rudyfunkmeyer Look if we win a large house majority, a Senate majority, and especially dominate in competitive states I think that Ken will be vindicated and money may start flooding in.
@Npakaderm We only had 2 years of a DFL trifecta. But to be explicit here in inflation adjusted terms 2019 was the first budget with the same amount of LGA as 2003. The 2023 budget was the first time we got back to the same real dollars as 2003. We are still behind obviously.
Win the GOP endorsement absolutely win the Governor race absolutely not.
No he won't be better than Klob are you kidding me? It took decades for us to undo all the damage of our last GOP Governor and get back to pre 2003 funding for schools and local governments.
Legit questions I'm pondering and not telling anyone else to do or think...
1. Could the pillow man win? We live in opposite world now.
2. Would he be objectively worse than Klobuchar? Inclined to believe no but she'll fund cops and he's an addict so he will steal the $$
@s0phistry I think we have a lot of good candidates especially in the swing metro districts (I have been knocking for a number of them) and a bunch of them are 2x candidates.
john hoffman's response to the text messages angie craig shared -
"Congresswoman Craig may disagree with my endorsement. She may defend her campaign's conduct. But she does not get to rewrite what my family experienced or publicly attack my honesty. After everything Yvette, Hope, and I have endured, we deserve better than having our trauma turned against us for political damage control."
@lloydletta You will notice that Hoffman never claimed that she texted him in the hospital for the endorsement. She sent 'a dear friend' to try and get the endorsement.
The problem isn't that she wanted his endorsement be serious right now. There is a time and a place and trying to get it while he is in the hospital recovering from an assassination attempt is the wrong time. Also if only she would fight so hard against Trump on Crypto...
@CheyCab I donβt think it reflects very well on Craig, but there is an annoying double standard with progressives supposedly wanting cut-throat fighters while also complaining about a politician making a pretty cold move in an attempt to get a win. Do they want fighters or teddy bears?
@CELEDRIELSTAR Just think how much more fiercely she will fight now that she has Celeborn once more. Like this has been Galadriel running on pain, anger, and rage. With Celeborn she has a future to fight for.
@zacharywefel Again the candidate who has done the most to make this race go negative is Craig. What are we even talking about here she was trying to get PACs to attack Peggy all the way back in the middle of the Convention process. A Craig pac put out an AI add attacking Peggy come on man.
@zacharywefel Personally I would be fine with a shorter campaign window but we have a long primary. The only way we were ever going to avoid this would have been for Craig to drop out. Any dislike for this primary should rightly imo be directed at her.
@zacharywefel I would say that we had one but I know you hate the caucus/convention process so I won't bother. But if you want this to have been over someone would have to drop and Angie Craig would be the obvious one to drop out since Peggy is endorsed and has led in polling.
