This is the meat of the problem with DeFi right now. It is critical you understand this. While I would sympathise with the scenario mentioned, it's uninformed risk.

People get hurt irrespective of whether it was their risk. We saw a similar issue with @Dolomite_io depositors being blocked the right to access their assets because @worldlibertyfi decided to withdraw all the $USDC by depositing their extremely illiquid token where their CTO has a major role to play.

It is important that if you hold an asset, you hold it as 'purely' as possible. Hold $ETH on ETH mainnet. Hold $SOL on SOL mainnet. Hold $BNB on BSC mainnet.

If you hold it any other way, you expose yourself to another layer (or multiple layers) of risk.

Yield in DeFi is never free and whoever advertises that should be put in jail.
