@skdh A relatively easy enthalpy calculation reveals the problem: 6eV of heat for a CH2 in a hydrocarbon chain vs. 2eV of energy in a Li atom. Most of the energy is in the hydrogen. The lithium simply can't be packed tight enough to match a fuel tank.

@PokeyArcticCirc@StahlmannRolf Yes. At its core, energy loss is i²R, so the trick is to offer minimal resistance in the circuit. Only offer reactance, inductive or capacitive, which transfers energy. That's what make electronics fun.
