@CC_EssexHerts that’s outrageous for an 8 minute trip. how come you’re able to charge £1 for an ‘epping local’ ticket for journeys of roughly the same distance/time but not implement something like this for this service??
@CC_EssexHerts how much are fares going to be on the new A3 service from quaker lane to sewardstone road campsite? surely you won’t be charging £3 for an 8 minute journey??
the absolute worst thing about politics in this country is snarky middle class leftists who don't appreciate the impact an extra few quid here and there can actually have on a working class family's life
this is genuinely going to change so many young people’s lives who can’t drive yet. it’s ridiculous that it’s costs £6 for me to get into town and back, especially during a cost of living crisis. stuff like this makes a huge impact for people
@AJNewbury94 the cap is for singles. a single fare in london is £1.75. you can take as many journeys as you want and be charged no more than £5.25 all day. outside of london it’s going to be £2 per journey. so if we were to take 3 buses it would cost £6. find something else to complain about
@JamesAlexKirby okay? it’s going to save me, my family, and extended family hundreds. for people who live outside of london and don’t own a car/have a licence, the £2 cap is a game changer. bus fares in london are affordable, so why should the rest of the country be treated any differently?
