🇨🇺 💉 Cuba has developed a second lung cancer vaccine.

VAXIRA is a theraputic lung cancer vaccine that works to help the immune system to destroy cancer cells. It has already shown major improvements in survival rates for lung cancer patients. The US blockade bans people in the US from accessing the vaccine.

In 2011, Cuba developed CIMAvax-EGF the world’s first and only approved lung cancer vaccine. More than 5,000 people across the world have been treated with the vaccine. It costs just $1 to manufacture.

Thanks to Cuba’s free, universal healthcare system and medical advances like lung cancer vaccines, lung cancer survival rates are 85% in provinces in Cuba. n the United States, they are just 29%, because lung cancer treatment costs $200,000-$400,000+ where accessible.

After 66 years under U.S. blockade, Cuba continues to make health breakthroughs that benefit the world. This principle of putting people before profit is why Cuba faces U.S. attack.
