@MichaelAstley4 @snookerbacker My lad is 12 and getting on this tour was his goal. He was determined to earn the right to be considered one of the best young players in the country. Now that opportunity has gone. I don’t know any other sports where the regard for Junior development is so poor.

@MichaelAstley4 @snookerbacker There is currently a Junior Premier Tour for the top 32 Under 21s in the country but it has been decided by the NGB that as of next season this tour is to be scraped. So as of 2023 there will be no national tour bringing the top juniors in the country together.

@ViewCue We trialed it at a Charity event and it worked great. No frames being lost with players giving away 40 points in fouls. No arguments if it was a miss or not.

@ViewCue It’s a win win. They can cont to attempt escape after escape if they believe they are good enough to hit the ball and leave it safe or they simple say I’d rather let you put the white where you want. Takes the ability factor which is often the issue at amateur level out of it.

@ViewCue Why not give the striker the choice? They can continue to try and escape knowing a miss will called if they fail to hit a ball on or they have the choice of offering ball in hand to the opponent.

Unfortunately he has withdrawn from so many events since he was given a card I am not sure people are interested in the reasons anymore.

@TSnooker102 It’s another way of calling someone an idiot or fool.

@TSnooker102 Jimmy called Ben a “dinlo” and Ben reacted by trying to laugh it off. He could have warned Jimmy there and then as you call the ref a dinlo for making an honest mistake. He tried to laugh it off and Jimmy got the hump.

@SnookerLoopy_ Jimmy called Ben a dinlo for calling the wrong ball and Ben tried to laugh it off. The alternative would have been to warn him there and then as you can’t the referee an idiot for making an honest mistake. People seem to have missed this important point !
