Thread: IPL spinners graphic on wrist spinners. RTs appreciated!
Features Bishnoi, Hasaranga, Chahar, Chahal, Rashid, Kuldeep M Ashwin and Gopal. Googly splits vs LHBs & RHBs, lengths and much more.
Bishnoi's wide release point makes his googly more potent. It's skiddy & low.
@Vasudha156 Do you want to go in front of the education minister’s house and ask these questions instead? Or is this a more serious issue for you folks?
When Sachin and Kambli stitched that 664 run partnership which made them overnight stars a certain Amol Mazumdar waited for 2 days with his pads on for his chance. What he didn't know was that this would go on for 2 decades because even after raking up more than 11 thousand first class runs he never got the chance to don the blue jersey. Now he has headed a team that has won a WC. This is straight up a Bollywood level script ....
@ShivAroor@imVkohli They are commentators doing their job. As per Shiv, those who are paid to comment on the match, needed to be quiet & not call the moment just cos their team was guilty in the past. Not surprising coming from a network that ignores ongoing real issues & focuses on distractions.
I’ve played with you for 14 years and when you told me today you’re retiring, it made me a bit emotional and the flashbacks of all those years playing together came to me. I’ve enjoyed every bit of the journey with you ash, your skill and match winning contributions to Indian cricket are second to none and you will always and always be remembered as a legend of Indian cricket. Wish you nothing but the best in your life with your family and everything else that it unfolds for you. With massive respect and lots of love to you and your close ones. Thanks for everything buddy.❤️🇮🇳 @ashwinravi99
Thank you for entertaining us with the ball for all these years. I will desperately miss the anticipation of what magic will Ashwin conjure up in his next delivery. Absolute champ🫡

✍🏽 @CricCritic2 on Pakistan's ODI bowling plans and how to get the best out of the 3 frontline pacers' 30 overs.

@Groovit1 Yes it absolutely does. I’m just talking about how the narrative from comms has been. Captain and coach speaking like that can in fact be just because they need the players playing freely.
Apparently England kept one eye on the status of test matches and it’s future. You need 2 eyes on the goal to beat world champions. Disappointed they didn’t think they needed 2 eyes on the prize. Not impressed as a neutral viewer.
#cricket#stats#geeky thread alert - don't bother reading this thread if you're not interested in either cricket or statistics.
A few people have asked me why I never talk about a batter's average in particular countries. There's a really simple reason for that.
Since a lot of you have misinterpreted this—this statement isn’t limited to this game itself.
Of course, bowling was below-par in this game but it’s India’s batting that’s ‘considered’ to be the strength…and that hasn’t delivered in either of the innings of this match too.
All previews had put Aus as favourites & that’s how the result panned out. So we can’t be too hard on Ind. General issue with Ind in overseas Tests has been average contribution of top 5 batters.
This match lost though because of day 1 bowling & brilliance of Head & Smith. #WTC
One of the defining features of this #WTCFinal2023 has been inconsistent bounce of the surface. According to our PitchViz model, here is how much the Indian batters average away from home when there is high bounce inconsistency:
Rohit 33
Pujara 43
Kohli 37
Rahane 39
Jadeja 29
@gurkiratsgill He bowled much better lengths in the second innings. His spell against Green was great discipline. He might well revert back to shorter lengths tomorrow, but he’s shown enough signs of having learnt from the 1st innings so far.
India & Australia’s bowling comparison after the first two innings of the #WTCFinal2023. The taller Australian bowlers, who bowled 74% of deliveries from above 2m were quicker, more accurate & challenged the batters by extracting more out of the surface which has uneven bounce.
