Malfoy realizing she's in love with Harry would probably be the worst day of her life.
First, she'd deny it.
Then she'd blame him for it.
Then she'd become even more insufferable just to prove she feels nothing.
She'd rather duel a dragon than admit that Harry has become the one person whose opinion actually matters to her.
And Harry? He'd probably be the last person to notice.

Malfoy × Harry Potter |EP.05
《BLOODLINE 》
How far must someone go to escape the weight of their own name?
We are taught that blood means belonging, that family means protection.
But sometimes, the ties that bind us most deeply are the very chains that hold us captive.
The name Malfoy gave her everything she was born to inherit — privilege, pride, status, and a place in a world that had already decided who she should be.
Before she was old enough to choose, her family had chosen for her.
Who to trust.
Who to despise.
Which side to stand on.
And what kind of person she was expected to become.
Lucius, perhaps, is the most tragic part of this story.
Not because he did not love his daughter.
But because he did.
He feared losing her, so he chose obedience.
He chose obedience, believing it would keep her safe.
And in trying to protect her, he nearly destroyed the very person he loved most.
A father can love his child deeply and still be the reason she suffers.
Love can be real.
So can the harm it causes.
And one does not erase the other.
Perhaps that is the cruelest paradox of family.
In the name of protecting the next generation, we pass down not only our names and legacies, but also our fears, our prejudices, and the burdens we were never brave enough to put down ourselves.
For the first time, she chose something her bloodline had never taught her to choose.
As for Harry, perhaps what exists between them still has no name.
There is rivalry.
There is pride.
There are years of things left unsaid.
And there is that inexplicable instinct to protect someone you were always taught to hate.
But perhaps the most important question was never whether they would fall in love.
Perhaps it was whether someone raised to inherit another generation's hatred could finally learn to make a different choice.
Blood may determine where we come from. But it should never decide who we are allowed to become.
A family can give us a name, a history, and a place in the world.
It should not get to write the rest of our story.
Maybe true legacy isn't about raising children who repeat the choices of their parents.
Maybe it's about giving them the freedom to make different ones.
You inherit your blood. You choose who you become.

I don't want a softer Malfoy.
I want her to stay arrogant, sharp-tongued, and impossible to deal with.
The kind of girl who would mock Harry for looking pathetic, then risk everything to save him.
Love shouldn't erase what makes a character interesting.
What do you think — should love change Malfoy, or reveal who she really is?
---

@Rolf_Thorne I love this idea. Especially the World Cup scene.
She could say almost the exact same words, but a slight hesitation or a look in her eyes could change everything.
@DontcaIlmewave Exactly. I don’t want Harry to “fix” her.
I want her to make mistakes, face the consequences, and struggle with who she is.
If she eventually chooses to do the right thing, it should be because she earned that moment. Not simply because she fell in love.
Harry and Draco have been rivals for years. And people have shipped them for just as long.
But turn Draco into a girl, and suddenly some people who never saw the appeal start seeing a love story.
I find that fascinating.
The pride, the sarcasm, the way she can't seem to leave Potter alone… none of that really needs to change.
And honestly, her flaws shouldn't disappear just because she's beautiful.
Of course, not every rivalry is secretly a romance.
But maybe genderbending doesn't create chemistry out of nowhere.
Maybe it just changes the way we recognize it.
So I'm curious:
Did female Draco change the story for us, or just the way we see it?

The best part of genderbent Malfoy isn't just how she looks.
You can give her beautiful platinum hair, a perfect face, and an elegant outfit.
But if you take away her pride, sarcasm, and stubbornness, is she still Malfoy?
To me, the magic is in the contrast.
She should still be able to destroy Potter with a single sarcastic remark, yet completely lose her composure when he smiles at her.
I don't want to turn her into a perfect romantic heroine.
I want her to stay arrogant, sharp-tongued, a little insufferable… and secretly terrible at hiding her feelings.
Because a beautiful design gets your attention.
But a believable personality makes you fall in love with the character.
