Christian, fiction writer and gamer. Looking for a wife/gf. Isaiah 5:20, Joshua 1:9, and "I disagree vehemently with you, but I don't hate you for it."
Black men have a much higher risk of getting prostate cancer. It's unwise to test white men at the same rate due to false positives leading to overdiagnosis and unnecessary treatment. Could you please, for one fucking day, give it a rest?
@reece_dinsdale The police handcuffed a man after he'd been stabbed because his murderer said he was racist.
That is undeniably what happened and if it doesn't make you angry it's because you don't value human life.
@basmu6934@RealShahriqKhan "God's actions are despicable"
You wanna run that by me again?
"If there were only 9 plagues in Bible and 10 in Quran"
Your hypothetical doesn't matter because it's not what happened and never COULD be what happens. You are deflecting.
@I_amMukhtar They didn't.
But hey, go off, I guess. The police cuffing a guy for being "racist" while he was bleeding out from being stabbed? All completely acceptable, right?
Pharoah killed the Israelites' firstborns in the exact same manner before that.
That final curse falls on Egypt as the last strike in a spiritual war that all of the plagues are a demonstration of. It is God showing his superiority over all of Egypt's false gods.
"God removed this slander found in Bible"
It took more than 2 millennia (1500 years before Jesus at least + 600 more for Islam) for God to remove slander?
"No wonder 70 percent of chosen folks are atheists."
What does this nonsense even mean?
When I was Muslim, I would argue & say we had the same prophets as Christians.
But this one broke me:
Surah 17:101: Allah gave Moses 9 clear signs.
I knew the list. The staff. The shining hand. The drought. The flood. The locusts. The lice. The frogs. The blood.
I held onto those 9 signs like proof I had the real story.
But bro, you know what shook me?
There’s a night missing.
After all nine signs, right before Israel walks out of Egypt, something happens that the Quran goes completely silent on.
A lamb is slaughtered.
Its blood painted on the doorposts.
And death passes over every house covered by that blood.
The Passover.
I grew up hearing the whole Exodus story. But nobody ever told me about the blood on the door.
Islam just skips it.
And here’s what wrecked me.
The Bible, the book I was taught was corrupted, mentions the Passover over 70 times.
Exodus. Leviticus. Numbers. Deuteronomy. The Psalms. The Prophets. The Gospels. Paul.
70 times.
So I had to ask myself the honest question:
If men corrupted this book, why would they obsess over the same story for 1500 years? Across dozens of authors who never met?
You don’t forge a document 70 times.
That’s just not corruption.
That to me is preservation.
And then I read the line that finished me off.
1 Corinthians 5:7.
“Christ our Passover lamb has been sacrificed.”
That’s when it hit me.
The whole story was never just about Moses.
It was always pointing to a King.
The final lamb. Whose blood, when applied to your life, makes death pass over you.
Forever.
The Quran gave me 9 signs but hid the one night that explains why any of them happened.
Because the moment a Muslim understands the Passover…
he’s one step away from the cross.
@okayyyy37 What's funny about that is Azula is sent after Zuko and Iroh. She decides herself that the Avatar is a target after fighting him in person.
Which suggests that Ozai still considered the embarrassment and treason of Zuko and Iroh to be of higher priority than the Avatar.
This is how the altercation between Vickrum Digwa and Henry Novak began.
Nowak was walking back to his student accommodation alone, jovially sending Snapchat videos to his friends. He was slightly affected by alcohol but well under the drink-drive limit. He accidentally brushed or bumped into Digwa on the street.
Digwa, who was sober but openly wearing an 8-inch (21cm) ceremonial blade (shastar) over his clothing, confronted Nowak aggressively.
Video recovered from Nowak's phone captured Digwa squaring up to him and aggressively asking if he thought he was a "bad man". Nowak walked away and "cheekily" repeated or mocked the phrase back to Digwa.
Digwa aggressively pursued the teenager, pulled out the blade, and stabbed him five times as Nowak tried to escape by climbing over a fence.
It seems 21 years was too little.
Ah yes, human economics. Very fascinating. Very concerning.
*wheeze*
“Who does Earth owe $350 trillion to?”
Mostly itself.
You owe money to pension funds, banks, insurance companies, investment funds, foreign governments, central banks, corporations, and millions of individual investors.
*wheeze*
In other words, humans have invented a system where they borrow money from themselves, pay interest to themselves, panic about it constantly, and then argue on the extranet about who is responsible.
As a Vølüs, I find this arrangement delightfully profitable.
The more interesting question is not who you owe. The question is whether the debt grows faster than the economy that supports it.
* wheeze*
If I owe 10,000 credits and earn 100,000 credits per year, nobody cares.
If I owe 10,000 credits and earn 12 credits per year, suddenly C-Sec starts asking questions.
Hah hah hah…* wheeze*
So when a human says, “We owe $350 trillion! Who do we owe it to?”
The answer is:
“Mostly other humans. The real question is whether future humans can keep making enough money to convince everyone not to panic.”
* wheeze*
Now if you’ll excuse me, I have several sovereign debt instruments to sell to the Elcor. They take a very long-term view of investments.
