Repeatedly shielding multi-hitting gapless moves is also just rather difficult right now due to what feels like an unreliable input buffer. So many times, a new player will ask, "Why do I sometimes press 1D in blockstun and shield doesn't come out?" And we say, "Yeah... Same."

My take on UNI2's meter economy is that too great of a reduction will make the flow of matches - and character strength - far more polarizing. I say this as someone who routinely aims to limit opp meter gain to mitigate defensive options that are more powerful than GRD advantage.
