or at least i sure hope today’s headspace can be chalked up to temporary post-vaccine side effects, cause if i feel similarly awful for any longer than one more day then idk how i’ll even make it to the end of the month
learning that she’s been a KMFDM appreciator all this time makes it even more endearing to me that she did those collabs with Raymond Watts in the late 2010s 😭

@damnse1fly tbh i got deeply annoyed with that episode because Christopherson’s colonial-ass “sexpat” lifestyle was only referred to briefly + as an afterthought
all i’m asking is for One podcast to do a deep dive episode on Thee Temple ov Psychick Youth where 1) either the guest or the host is already familiar with Throbbing Gristle, 2) idol worship & satanic panic bs are both neatly avoided, and 3) no one repeatedly misgenders Genesis
@suchnerve cause when i see someone willfully overlook the existence of fair & rational personal reasons behind why some of us may not be down to maintain relationships with people who fail to mask, instead reducing us to a narrow-minded monolith… that doesn’t sound much like empathy to me
@suchnerve do you figure a bad faith generalization about people who maintain strict standards in their social life re: the practice of masking = evidence that *you* are “able or willing to exercise the empathy it takes to imagine how differing experiences and needs affect decision-making”?
gastroenterologists would be my go-to suggestion as a starter, but after that you’ll likely wanna move on to rheumatologists at some point for a more advanced level of dead-eyed apathy & casual malpractice
midday bump - no progress today

unironically love it when strangers on the street say ominous & cryptic [without being hostile or threatening] shit to me in passing. feels like being clocked as A Crazy Person in the most laidback & amicable way imaginable
was wearing a hoodie that says “Evil Hides In The Woods”* on the back. some guy passed me outside the QFC then turned around with a tortured look in his eye and informed me “evil hides Everywhere”. all i could really do was hit him with “facts. [awkward pause] i agree, for real”
* (it says this on the back bc it’s merch for the Blair Witch Project game. i however wear it as a huge poseur who has never played the game, bc from the front it passes as merch for the film instead. that being the case, i wasnt gonna pass up an ex-housemate’s neat hand-me-down)
