One thing I was thinking about was the #HarryPotter and #Malfoid wedding date and venue. So, what if it was a very special place and time to the start of the entire story.

Uncle Vernon, upon discovering that Harry has a fortune in Gringotts and valuable property, begins sending him annual invoices for every penny the Dursleys ever spent raising him.

Food. Dudley’s second-hand clothes. The cupboard under the stairs. Even the second bedroom they eventually let Harry use, which Vernon insists could have been rented out at a considerable profit.

Every Christmas, Harry responds by sending a ten-pence coin, a pair of Vernon’s old socks, or a box of tissues, accompanied by a note:

“Happy Christmas, Uncle Vernon! Thank you for allowing me a payment plan.”

Petunia, meanwhile, drafts increasingly furious letters containing phrases like “freak’s son,” “imposed upon me,” and “undeserving burden.” She also remains bitter about the time Lily borrowed one of her blouses and somehow looked better in it than Petunia ever had. The final insult? Harry spent four years wearing practically the same shirt and still managed to look better in it than Dudley did in anything she bought him.

Dudley maintains that he looked perfectly suave in crimson, thank you very much, even after falling into a giant snake’s enclosure at the zoo.

“No, not Nagini! The other snake!”

Then, one day, Harry receives a letter at Grimmauld Place.

Dear Harry,

I hope this letter finds you well. I was wondering whether you’d like the blanket you were wrapped in when you were left on our doorstep. You were about a year and a half old, I think.

Feel free to send your reply by owl. Haven’t seen one around here in years.

I'm inclined to agree. Malfoid is a fundamental alteration to the story's dynamics. By that point, their feelings for each other would've been undeniable and inescapable, which contributes greatly to dilemma. Harry would've been a very capable duelist and he would have noticed her extreme emotional distress. The scene would probably include a duel, but Harry would deflect and not seek to hurt, and he'd have enough discipline to not use a spell "for enemies". How the trailer handles it is well done.

There are some great spirited discussions over whether Harry should use sectumsempra on Malfoid. I understand the desire to stay close to the canon. I am certain creators who keep will do a fantastic job in using it in their stories. Let me explain why I think this change is justified. Malfoid is not Draco. Harry used the curse on him because he did see him as an enemy. Malfoid is different. She was his rival who became the object of his love. Yes he knew she did terrible things, at this critical moment he saw the girl he loved, not an enemy. Her response was perfect. She saw herself as someone deserving to be hated. Why would anyone giver her compassion and mercy, especially him. The boy she loved and betrayed when he stood next to her father and the Dark Lord. His compassion and love broke her, and he was ready to receive the girl he loved. It expresses the lesson that Tom Riddle failed to learn and Dumbledore learned at the cost of his sister, love is greater than any magical power.

IF they only establishes it AFTER the Yule ball or Later Harry will still have some doubts, while Dracaena has already developing feelings probably earlier
