Showing new sculptures at @DallasArtFair with @CrisWorley this week. This one “Demi Telesterion” is an allusion to the underground temple location of the ancient Greek Eleusinian Mysteries where participants partook of a (probably psychoactive) drink as part of the ritual.

A large piece found a home in a collector’s family room this week. Almost like deja vu or some undefined precognition, this work felt as if it already existed in a prior life. The signal from this work delivered a strong current, all I had to do was remain open to receiving it.

“Guide Me/Seek Thee” 48 x 36. By using large areas of gradient and soft brushing in the initial layers, the impasto texture of the final layers get pushed forward. Forcing a sensation of increased depth.⁣
