@RosieBarton I voted this AM in Ottawa Centre - Poll No. 63. Waited in line for 2 (TWO) hours. There was only 1 table distributing ballots. Staff were great & said they requested resources from EC, to no avail. Have complained to EC, but this not encourage good turnout!

@jaketapper @stacyschiff Read Ms. Schiff’ s article in NYT. Reminded me of interview Mr. Tapper had w former PM Trudeau who said what distinguished Cdns from Americans is that we’re not Americans. Tapper later denigrated that view during interview w current PM Carney.

But Trudeau was partly correct & shld not have been criticized. Much of Cdn history vis-à-vis US is our desire to NOT be part of US. This is true from revolutionary times, as described in Schiff article, to the choice of Ottawa as our capital
