We gave white smoke!

Crowds cheered as white smoke emerged from the chimney of the Sistine Chapel Thursday, indicating a new pope has been elected to lead the Catholic Church.

The smoke means two-thirds of the 133 cardinals reached an agreement on who should succeed Pope Francis, who died on April 21.

The name of the next pontiff will then be announced before the new pope is expected to appear from the balcony of St. Peter's Basilica.

Proud mama moment.

My daughter (age 4) sleeps with a Bible in her bed each night to make her feel safer. Knowing that I’ve been sick with a bad cold in bed, she goes and gets my Bible because she wants me to have mine. Heart melted.
