@TheJPBradley I partially blame westerns. I think the idea of a sheriff guarding over a small town became such a fixture in people's minds because of those, and the folks who grew up watching westerns assumed it was always like that.
I will never not be annoyed by the prevalence of the idea that historic villages and towns had any form of dedicated, full-time "town guard" or fantasy cop system.
It is copaganda to make you believe that cops and an active, constant distrust in civilians is normal.
Drivethru managed to announce this before I did! I like to think they've been on the edge of their seats, waiting.

@mykindofweird_ Favourite album - Poe's Haunted album, which is both inspired by The House of Leaves and about dealing with her father's death.
Favourite graphic novel - Junko Mizuno's Cideralla. A cute, somewhat demented zombie take on the fairytale.
It's here... the long-awaited edition of the Hollows blog -
Is there room in Hollows for your characters to suffer tragically, react grotesquely, and have big feelings? Absolutely. See what Chant says about it here: https://t.co/x1Wga8HvZX
