1/ Seven de-SPACs crossed $10 in H1 2026. Seventeen didn't. The gap was visible before closing day. Our new quarterly De-SPAC Scorecard breaks down why. 🧵
2/ The redemption vote is the verdict: hold redemptions under 90%, and half of deals trade above $10. Redeem more than 90%, and almost none do. Median redemption this half: 89%.
3/ The PIPE is the new trust. Straight-equity PIPE deals: +2% median. Structured PIPEs: -57%. No PIPE at all: -59%. Structure is a warning label.
4/ And the announced pipeline is priced at cash: just 3 of 47 deals trade >5% above real redemption value. Full H1 2026 Scorecard: https://t.co/6xEkM3s3Xx
Jensen Huang. Lisa Su. Sergey Brin. Eric Yuan. Katalin Karikó. Every one of them came here on a visa.
70% of top US AI grad students are foreign-born. 28 of 43 leading AI companies were founded by immigrants.
The next @nvidia gets founded in San Jose — or Shenzhen. We're making that choice right now. My latest in @Forbes 👇 #Immigration #AI #H1B https://t.co/J6dUJR9Pye
@nvidia 's Jensen Huang and @AnthropicAI 's @DarioAmodei announced a $10 billion partnership. Two months later, they were publicly calling each other's positions "stupid" and "madness." The fight? Whether selling Nvidia chips to China is an act of commerce or an act of folly.
Both men have real arguments. Both have billions riding on being right. I broke down in @Forbes who has the stronger case — and why the answer might come from an unlikely source.

No one could have predicted this
“Jersey City was one of the busiest apartment-construction markets in the entire New York metro region, adding thousands of new units as developers chased the post-pandemic demand surge. When all that inventory came online at once, landlords had to compete on price to fill the units, which pulled rents down from their 2024 peak. The building boom is why renters are getting a break now."
Partnering not replacing is right model for AI deployment. Used right it’s a multiplier for quality, productivity and speed. Human partnership and oversight essential for context, judgement, error mitigation, and accountability. I don’t think any serious organization is letting it run wild
CEOs are quietly realizing the AI replacement plan has a problem.
Two problems, actually.
One: the token costs for running AI agents are now exceeding what they were paying the employees they fired.
Two: when the tokens run out, the AI stops. Just stops. No continuity. No workaround. Just a spinning wheel where your workforce used to be.
You fired humans to save money and bought a subscription that bills you into a corner.
The employees you let go knew what to do when things broke.
The AI just invoices you for the outage.
And then there’s the permission problem nobody wants to talk about.
To do its job, the AI agent needs access. Full access. Your systems, your patents, your contracts, your future plans. Everything you spent years building, handed over to a process that has no loyalty, no discretion, and no skin in the game.
You didn’t hire a replacement.
You gave a stranger with no soul the keys to everything you own.
Enjoy.

there are basically only two trades;
1. light AGI pilled — the markets are failing to price the incredible productivity gains, margin expansion, etc
2. dark AGI pilled — the markets are failing to price the coming violence, destabilization, currency and nation state effects,etc
Main Character Syndrome: A nearly universal condition. Until you have children and realize you are at best a quirky member of the supporting cast people love to hate.
What's going on in the AI IPO race?
@AnthropicAI : $900B valuation, $44B ARR, inference gross margins now 70%.
@OpenAI : missed user and revenue targets, CFO reportedly doubting a 2026 IPO.
The only audited AI lab financials on Earth? Chinese.
