God bless and take care. Itβs been an absolute treat getting to know planty folks around the world. My garden is enriched because of you.

To reiterate, I would be very happy if you joined me on Bluesky. I will make an effort to be more present in the early stages of that platform, hopefully as it continues to grow.
Very much the height of autumn but have been blessed with dry, above average temps for dang near two months. My peppers did well this year. Tomatoes were a bust due to a soil disease I need to sort out. It has been a busy, busy year. Just need this next week to go by quickly π΅βπ«π
@nickurgero I would happily just give you some! I dunno where you are but I could meet you at Primrose farm in St Charles on Saturday late morning. My friends Elder Oaks Farm has a farm stand there (organic veggies and local meat) and I usually pop over.
Picture taken around solstice. Look at the height of these hollies! Nearly reaching my second story window π I have been collecting seeds and set a bunch along the west side of the house in the backyard. Hoping to see some babies soon.
The yarden in early August. Found some summer blooming additions and a false indigo I can squeeze in once the weather cools down later this week. Japanese beetles have finally found my roses and itβs war.
Wow, late summer. Lots of extra curriculars on the docket this year, not much time for gardening unfortunately. Second year in a row I had to rip out my tomatoes due to a soil blight of some kind. Summer has been highlighted by scores of local produce and lovely country drives
@NatureB12115703 We do have those, but all of them are soo not in my color scheme, Bob! π€ Iβm going for feminine pastels, purples, and pinks. I have a Lady of Shallot Iβd like to have be the pop of warm color.
π€ my 2024 dahlias. Theyβll get potted up this weekend. From Walmart, Menards, and Platt Hill Nursery. Combo of cheap and fancy. I still got that mixed bag (back right) that threw me all the wrong colors, but I also got a reliable nursery pack with the colors I want, so cheeeers
The sky is spitting weak snow flakes today. A minor improvement to yesterdays sideways flurries. The weather looks pretty miserable for another week, too. Hereβs how Iβm coping. Four different kinds of sansevieria, now two monsterras. The little Hoya is too cute π€
@cwhsbspdh@GardenOpus Theyβre so pretty, but when I was in college, I merchandised for a plant company, and Iβd get multiple grower racks of them blooming.. ugh it was so strong Iβd get headaches!
