Vibe coding gets you a demo. Production needs specs, context and verification loops.
New croit Academy course: AI-Native Software Development

Our colleague Gabriel had 45 seconds at the Caracas Tech Meetup to explain what croit does.
Cloud storage gets expensive, at some point you buy your own hardware, and then you run Ceph on it.
In Spanish, subtitles included.

Proxmox VE has an official ARM64 build now. Full feature parity.
But VMs cannot migrate across architectures, and mixed clusters are not supported. So ARM is a second cluster, not a replacement.
That leaves exactly one layer that can span both.

A stat that took two hours to return.
Healthy cluster, no corruption. Just one very large file on CephFS and a question the MDS could not answer quickly.

croit v2608.0 is live.
croit Enhanced: our own Ceph build with snapdiff CephFS mirroring and lighter MDS scrubbing.
Plus MDS notifications, S3 load balancing via HA Proxy, and experimental ransomware detection.

5/ Windows guests need VirtIO staged before the migration, otherwise it's several extra steps per VM. Free script for that on our GitHub.
Full session is 26 minutes and chaptered. Questions are always welcome.

1/ Teams evaluating Proxmox often arrive with a similar set of questions, so James Godfrey, our presales lead, recorded the full conversation.
A few things worth planning early:
croit is now a member of ITE, the Association for IT from Europe.
ITE works to strengthen European digital sovereignty and make European IT visible as a real alternative.

Moving to Proxmox VE in the enterprise?
James Godfrey breaks down the real-world stuff: reusing hardware, Ceph vs ZFS, HCI vs three-tier, corosync gotchas, and migrating off VMware.

Our colleague Alwin Antreich spoke at Heise's #S2N on Disaster Recovery & Backup Assurance with the Proxmox Backup Server and Ansible.
In German, English subtitles available.

Next S2N: 3 to 4 Nov 2026, Berlin
croit v2605 is out.
→ Security-patched OS images (4 AlmaLinux CVEs)
→ Ceph Reef 18.2.8 + Tentacle 20.2.1
→ Dedicated image changelog with links to CVEs and release notes
→ Warns you before a reboot makes PGs inactive

We built our own AI infrastructure at croit. Own GPUs, own models, own gateway, all self-hosted.
For a storage company, sending customer data to a cloud LLM was never going to cut it. So we didn't.
How we wired AI into our UI, support, and codebase 👇

Once a year the whole croit team gets in the same place. This year: Antalya, Türkiye.
Workshops, rafting, mud buggies, zipline, cooking class, boat trip, old city at night.
We will be back at our desks, but for a few days in June, we were just a group of people in the same place
Great time at #DSXConference in Frankfurt 🇩🇪
Lots of valuable conversations around the future of storage, AI, and scalable infrastructure.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth, we enjoyed the exchange!

RAM prices are rising, but what does it mean for your infrastructure?
From the Proxmox User Group (US), James Godfrey shares insights based on Alwin Antreich’s talk “RAM: The New Gold?”
Watch here:

RAM is the new gold.
At proxtalks, Alwin Antreich at croit covered how to scale #Proxmox without new hardware: KSM deduplication, VirtIO ballooning, ZRAM (zstd/lz4).
Also coming up: DRS, SDN improvements, Datacenter Manager enhancements, server-side backup encryption.
