@natefishpa@Sorenthek high-level fundamentals work the same across not only industries, but throughout the universe itself
the important factor in all human related economic activities is the value that humanity gives to certain assets (plus: abundance of such)
gold/btc without humans has no value
@natefishpa@Sorenthek nature itself is a PoW system, so technically every piece of matter in the universe is "running a lightbulb until it gets a cookie"
in humans that cookie could be food, sex or a bitcoin
laws of physics can't be defeated... so let's keep running our lightbulbs
Like EVs, Bitcoin is a fully electrified, so they have no direct emissions
Like EVs, Bitcoin has indirect emissions from electricity was generated using fossil fuels
TL; DR: Bitcoin uses significantly more sustainable energy, and significantly less fossil fuel
What is #nostr?
Unlike the old social media "platforms" where the platform-owner (FB, Tiktok, Twitter) gets to decide who can speak—and what can be heard—#nostr is an open protocol.
If a platform is a silo, a protocol is a river: no one owns it, and everyone is free to swim.
@adrianparisk @jack I had the same question. Basically they have an "Emergency Access Kit" (basically an APK of the app you download from GitHub) in order to transfer your funds out of the platform.

@jrob730@UKbitcoinHODL@bitkey@CashApp It's not open source. It's free software, meaning they released their code for anyone to look at it but no contributors can develop it if they are not part of Block Inc. This wallet solves issues around "lost wallet"; but it connects to a cloud service, some don't like that.
