Protocol upgrade v1.5.0 is scheduled for testnet rollout next week, bringing significant improvements in performance, usability, and interoperability

– (NEW) EVM parity: Support for new opcodes TSTORE, TLOAD, MCOPY → improves storage/memory efficiency and enables contracts relying on the latest Ethereum semantics.
– (NEW) EIP-7702: Empowers EOAs with ephemeral smart contract code execution, enabling account abstraction–like features without requiring contract wallets. This unlocks new UX patterns (meta-tx, delegated auth, gas sponsorship, Single sign-on).
– (IMPROVED) Mempool policies: Introduction of transaction prioritization and replacement (gas-price bidding, nonce replacement). This aligns Cronos with Ethereum’s txpool semantics.
