I did this interview, which means I witnessed Violent J saying all this in full clown paint on a Zoom screen, talking directly to me. I will never forget it.
I read articles and watched pods about Chip Engelland after Rockets hired him. But none of them told the story: How does he fix the shots? So i did my own digging and was impressed enough to write this article.
Warning: it’s a little long. And i left out a lot.
Fun Fact:
There has only been two players in NBA history that have worn the number 86, Semih Erden & Chris Johnson
Both wore the number for the Celtics, in the SAME season (2010-11)!!! 🤯
☘️ Semih Erden, wore No. 86 for Boston 11/02/10 - 02/22/11
☘️ Chris Johnson, wore No. 86 for Boston 02/24/11 - 03/04/11
Anyway, only 86 days until NBA basketball is back 🙏
A very sad day today, as we've lost one of the greatest to ever do it, Lou Koller of @SOIANYC.
Sick of it All was representing hardcore on a global scale long before and long after many bands had come and gone. They were, and ARE genuine trailblazers all while being incredibly kind to the bands they crossed paths with and helped grow along the way. Lou's legacy & impact on punk, hardcore and music overall will be eternal.
I don't know that I would be here today without discovering the Step Down video as a child, which was a major milestone that made my brother and I want to dive deeper into hardcore. Thank you Lou, thank you Sick of it All. Rest in peace.
