@ColeDH21 @RadioMoser Last year they got below league average from Varly, plus with Surgeries on both hips not worth resigning for term I know small sample size but what Frankie did In AHL plus both games in relief they’ll get at least league average. I’m not worried. Today we R better than yesterday
@ColeDH21 @RadioMoser Both Grub and Varly laid an egg for two months, Grub did get hot last month and playoffs, Varly was constantly below average All season. He has serious injury history. Frankie played great in both games he came in relief. Worth the risk in my mind.
@Avaholics_U I think you will be surprised by his play next year. UFA always cost a little more but 3.9 for 3 years is not bad term. I doesn’t bother me a bit personally
@ColeDH21 @RadioMoser We’ll see on goaltending next year. Varly was a huge question mark last year. Didn’t get hurt but his consistency wasn’t there. I think the PP is going to see a huge improvement seem to always want to set up TB4 now Mac/Rants/Landy will have to shoot more instead of TB4
@ColeDH21 @RadioMoser Take the one bad year out he averaged 43 take the one bad year from Kadri where he was pushed to third line he averaged 50. All in all the roster today is better than the roster that was iced in the play off
@ColeDH21 @RadioMoser Kadri averages 53 points 26.6 goals last 3 years, Donskoi average 28.8pts, Burakovsky averaged 28.3 For 110 points . Soda averaged 33 pts last 3 years, Kerfoot averaged 42.5 last two years. TB4 averaged 54 for last three years for a total of 129. So I am betting Makar >19pts
@Avaholics_U What did you think Sakic did? Sit on his hands? Gave bread a good offer. Kicked tires on Lee, Nyquist, kicked tires on Zuccarello but in the end they didn’t want to come. I take it you would have rather given Lee 9x7 or 5 yrs to Zuc your crazy team wouldn’t be better.
@ColeDH21 Spend the ridiculous amount of both term and dollars for a 2yr window. Personally I would rather be smart like joe and instead of strapping the team build for a dominant 8-10 years. Big money and big term would have put the Avs back to where they were 3 to 4 years ago
@jessemontano @CallieAvsAgnew That right there is a better team then the Avs has last year. Injuries happen and you have depth to bring up. All we heard last year was lack of depth and secondary scoring. Adding Cale and better bottom 9 will improve scoring is it a splash no but it is better
