Just stop and really think about this — the CSA Board of Directors approved and flaunted the custom suits that they had made for themselves last year while knowing they didn’t have the money to fund games for our CanWNT. How are ANY of these people still on the CSA Board?
@Pablohanson@mcstravick_kyle Bottom line: bad optics. Bad press, again. Just when they’re so close to being something more. It doesn’t matter if the suits were free or $10,000 each. The org just continues to fumble as the players climb.
Another blunder by a staggeringly inept organization. If not for the on-field success helping the org fail upwards, I’m sure we would have had change already.
Can CSA do anything right? Another fail on their part by refusing to make any pointed demands or follow @thevoyageurs' request to join calls for FIFA to fund compensation for workers killed. Instead, it gives cover to the Qatari state's empty reforms w this empty gesture #canmnt
While Canada Soccer has directed players and staff to give back the Team Canada sweat tops, pants and polo shirts they have been provided for training sessions, the federation this summer spent $11,074 on new custom suits for board members.
@CanadaSoccerEN An anti-labour statement (with it's empty gestures and cover for Qatar's empty reforms) made by an organization headed by an anti-labour president who is a regular participant of an annual union busting conference
