For those who don't know, the lady said "You'd sell your mama for a dime" and he crumbled immediately. I'd say his soul was read up and down if he actually had one.
@TheAtlantic@sophiah_n Laughing my arse off because almost all the top sellers of the past decades had male protagonists. Not to mention the centuries of male-centred literature before that. Men choose illiteracy because the more women go into education, the more "feminine" it is to be well read.
@TheAtlantic@sophiah_n Girls read books with boy protagonists all the time. If men and boys can't read books with a girl protagonist, could it be because they think girls are lesser than boys? And therefore the problem isn't the girls in the books, it's their own fucked up thought process.
It's interesting how this argument tends to be made:
1. When women were in the minority: "why do you even care if the protagonist looks like you, men don't care"
2. When men are in the minority: "boys are being DiSCouRaGed!", "society hates men!"
"third worldee radfem" yeah I wonder why a woman living in a country where your younger brother can have authority over you is mad and hates men

El marido de mi tía fue ginecólogo durante 8 años y en el 2024 renunció porque ya no se aguantaba las minas con la concha re podrida. Y esta pendeja piensa que es agradable atenderle la cajeta llena de hongos.
Abortions were considered normal and even necessary by the church for hundreds of years (as they believed life began at first breath like in the Bible) until the church realized they could control who was born and what families stayed powerful with heirs by controlling women
I am imagining myself telling a woman there is a safe medical procedure to terminate an unwanted pregnancy, and she's expressing relief. Thank you for this thought experiment.
La Diputada @AlidaFerreyraU acaba de presentar el Proyecto de Ley Latidos para que las mujeres que quieran hacerse un aborto tengan que previamente escuchar los latidos del corazón de su bebé.
