Basic Health Information that EVERYONE on EDtwt needs to know - a 🧵(based on misinformation I've seen on here)
My credentials: I'm a health science major with an extreme hyperfixation on health and wellness, and I've been fighting this disorder for over a decade.
@cheriecordial When you eat high intake and exercise, it helps you lose body fat while maintaining muscle mass and bone density, and helps prevent some malnourishment. With low intake/low exercise you're losing muscle, bone, organ in some cases and putting yourself at much greater risk
@Gl1tter_Fawn To be diagnosed with AN in the first place I believe you have to be underweight, but it's not something to be scared of honestly. I'd be more concerned about the health side effects that can happen at any weight and trying to mitigate them
@nevrmorxo@strawberrydiive Remember to measure using TDEE (total daily energy expenditure) not BMR to measure your deficit, your TDEE will be higher even if you are mostly sedentary
I hate that she posts photos like this knowing how much young girls look up to her. Like, it's one thing if she's just struggling by herself, but she's clearly bodychecking and posting th*nspo. I would bet anything that she'll be the cause of at least one preteen's ed.
This is what I get for giving out harm reduction advice 😑 like I'm literally trying to help people not hurt themselves as bad???? stfu which ever one of you reported me can go to hell honestly
Guys my appetite and desire for food is almost completely gone and I should be happy but it's honestly a bit unnerving? Like, I love bagels but recently had one and couldn't even finish eating it because it felt like eating cardboard. I'm worried about losing muscle.
@raiinyboots Cluster b disorders all form almost always in relation to trauma, specifically an unpredictable parent. I got my batch of disordered nightmare because my mom would flip from really nice to screaming at me depending on how drunk she got
