New overhaul of the menu that controls how each computer in your cluster/render farm renders, you can control
- Whether it uses full screen or tiling
- tile size
- which devices are used (CPU, GPU, CUDA, OPTIX, HIP, etc)
- a new option "speed boost" (trade RAM for speed)
@erindale_xyz @cgonfire Interested to know more, do you have any references you can link to for further reading on the required volume/diversity etc of data that is needed to train an AI effectively?
The result of this poll wasn't super surprising, asking if artists would like to opt out of having their art used for training AI that might one day replace them got the expected results...
...quite a few ppl said no tho, your reasons pls?!
#stablediffusionart#midjourneyAi
AI art generators like #stablediffusion#midjourney train on vast databases of images.
Should a new option for CC licenses be created that expressly stops others using your art for training purposes?
Comment with your reason as to why you made the choice you did!
Been quiet for a while, probably the hangover from 2022.
Back at it now though, got new stuff incoming,
for now know that we're on it! New updates for our addon coming.
@BlenderBrit Using affinity & quite like the business model, you own the software for life, & get a discount on the next big upgrade if you want it.

This clip shows a physics experiment producing a synchronized scream. All the students, except the last one standing, sit on desks ungrounded. The first lays a hand on a Van der Graaf Generator

@rileybrown3d needing one of these in Sydney today, at around 8:00am it was warmer and more humid outside than in.
the comuputers are sweating...
so are the humans!
@rileybrown3d You're doing well mate, this phenomenon that you're seeing happens to everyone, big or small. Baseline is usually small compared to the peak around your latest release.
Don't let that phase, you, if ppl are subscribing, liking and engaging with your content, you're on point.
@akavassis Can understand your hesitancy in breaking out a soldering iron on a card that costs as much as an entire PC :)
Would like to know if under-volting helps :)
@akavassis at full power, guessing those coils deal with quite a bit of current, which will flex those coils to the frequency of the driving circuit producing the whine
to reduce coil whine, use more coils and divide the current, or do the opposite if you want more coil whine
