@Jessie_1738@Jonat2Go@DigitalChema@EndymionYT Even in that one (which you think supports you further) its explicitly stated that its the deluxe edition (not an upgrade) and includes the base edition, its not the consumers problem to figure out a developers discount structure dude especially when weird sale stuff is common
@Jessie_1738@Jonat2Go@DigitalChema@EndymionYT You can fall back on that all you want but it is objectively misleading & not peoples fault for someone to see this screen, purchase said DELUXE EDITION (not upgrade), which explicitly states it INCLUDES the base edition and expect the deluxe edition including base game
@Jessie_1738@Jonat2Go@DigitalChema@EndymionYT Yea exactly, which is why people didn’t immediately think it was an upgrade, and why the “you’re just dumb for thinking the more expensive thing would be cheaper” argument reductive and dismissive in my opinion
@Jonat2Go@Jessie_1738@DigitalChema@EndymionYT And the fact that they arent the same product even further supports my point because in both situations the “superior” product ends up being cheaper, which makes the “you’re just dumb for thinking the more expensive thing would be cheaper” argument reductive and dismissive imo
@Jonat2Go@Jessie_1738@DigitalChema@EndymionYT It does compare though because with marathon it was clearly marked deluxe edition as well and not deluxe edition upgrade which is my point, people just thought it was discount wonkiness because it was objectively mislabeled if what they intended for people to know its an upgrade
@Jonat2Go@Jessie_1738@DigitalChema@EndymionYT Wonky stuff like that happens often on all game platforms when games are on sale though, sometimes deluxe or special editions end up cheaper than base editions. It’s not an exact example but this is something similar, right now the PS5 version of Jedi is cheaper than the PS4 lol
@Jessie_1738@DigitalChema@EndymionYT It doesn’t matter lmfao the store page they are seeing is for the DELUXE EDITION, not a deluxe edition upgrade so not including the base game LITERALLY means they do not receive what they paid for according to the listing they bought it from
@Jessie_1738@DigitalChema@EndymionYT I understand what you’re saying bro you’re technically correct from how the software works POV but from a business POV you have to admit thats slimy as fuck lol 99% of people would think it includes the base game
@Jessie_1738@DigitalChema@EndymionYT The fact that people didn’t know it was effectively changed to an upgrade despite literally saying it’s the deluxe edition and saying it includes the base game is bungies fault, not the consumers fault. You are literally fucking retarded
@Jessie_1738@DigitalChema@EndymionYT Bro below the price it even says in small text “launch price: $59.99” which means it was meant to include the base game ($40) even previously. So the deluxe edition was $59.99 to the standards $40 at launch. Talking about reading comprehension is quite ironic
