The part no one is bringing up is WHY this happened.
These “Super-PAWGs” are the result of a shift in the zeitgeist of desirability among white women.
A lot of the under-30 gym girlies will not have this context, so they aren’t necessarily at fault for this, but I watched this shit happen in real time. Thin was in for most of my early life. ESPECIALLY for white women.
White women were not interested in having fat asses until the early 2010s when the Kl*nd*shians popularized BBLs and caricatured Black women’s natural figure into a cartoonishly goofy silhouette with weird proportions.
The unintended side-effect of this was that naturally thicker white women finally found the confidence to love themselves and work towards attainable fitness goals, but that doesn’t change the seeds of appropriation and commodification of Black women’s bodies that blossomed into the flower of white women’s relatively newfound confidence.
If I learned a new language and native speakers told me "hey there's context behind that term you don't know and you shouldn't say it" I would just not use that term
Noticing that old people tend to explore their environment like they’re playing some real life version of Skyrim. Just wandering into random buildings and opening a dialogue tree. “What sort of business is this?”
We know men are overall better people than women because when a man catches another man committing a deep injustice (Luigi), we will kill them.
Women (Lindsay) are recognized as evil and are “given grace” by other women.
I’ve spent a lot of time in “male spaces.” The worst you’ll hear is a lewd comment about a woman being desirable, or a remark about an “easy” woman.
I’ve been forced to spend a lot of time in women’s spaces (by nature of being a woman) and will regularly hear open contempt for how gross, evil, unlovable, inhuman, and pathetic the average woman thinks the average man is. Or, worse, bragging about mistreating a normal, undeserving man. There is 0 recognition that this is bizarre or cruel behavior.
So, actually, the men’s “locker room” is a pale evil in comparison.
My son has this elaborate game he plays with his baseball cards, where he creates teams and match ups and then narrates entire games to himself, under his breath, outcomes being determined by the stats on the back of the cards and something else he can't explain to me.
I don’t understand the correlation between film and age here but it is interesting that the older you get the more society expects you to treat your life like it’s meaningless and “over”.
