It's considered tacky and unbalanced for journalists to celebrate a politician's downfall, but in this case it's warranted.

Good riddance Steve Reed, one of the most toxic and malignant players in the Labour Together project, and a shocking, unedifying Minister.

Reed has contributed nothing of value to public life. His years- long war on democracy have degraded the public sphere, undermined the law, made the UK a more divided place and eviscerated Labour support in cities throughout the UK appalled by his accommodationist, conservative approach.

It would be more than fitting for him to lose his seat at the next election, and I will do everything I can to ensure that all faces justice for years of wrongdoing.
