Hey @wholemars, yes, I can explain it to you. It is now a year later, and they never did it again.
That's why it's just "smoke and mirrors".
You are welcome.
Battery percentage remaining (or ANY percentage of anything)
is a useless number without the actual range its based on. 50% range when new was substantially more range than 50% after 2 years in my 24 Model S.
Tesla ownership has done something weird to my brain and I swear I’m not exaggerating.
I now think in battery percentage instead of miles. If the screen shows 50%, I’m like “cool, I’m good.” I don’t even glance at the actual range anymore. 160 miles left? Nah, my brain just registers the percentage and moves on.
Trip planning is completely different too. No more “I’ll just pull off the highway and fill up at a gas station.” Now I let the Tesla map handle everything. It automatically plots the Superchargers, suggests stops, and makes it feel effortless. Honestly, it’s kind of addictive.
And don’t even get me started on the instant torque. It’s become my new normal. Last month I hopped in a gas car rental and floored it at a light… nothing happened. I was just sitting there like “what is this lag??” 😂
Tesla has genuinely ruined me for any other car. I don’t think I can ever go back.
Tesla owners, has it messed with your head like this too? What’s the weirdest mental shift you’ve noticed?

For those who have forgotten the past 40 years:
Tax cuts for the rich
...don’t trickle down
Boosting military spending
...doesn’t bring peace
Slashing regulations
...doesn’t create jobs
Folks, we’ve seen this all before.
Move out. Now. Watching kids be creative without being destructive is amazing. I love those parents. And they can decorate my house, and my street, anytime they like 🤗
“Elon may get more subsidies than any human being in history, by far, and without subsidies, Elon would probably have to close up shop and head back home to South Africa.”
“Our country would save a fortune.”
Donald J. Trump on Elon Musk, less than a year ago.
No, the left are not Jealous of Elon Musk,
We don’t want to be trillionaires.
We want a world where children aren’t starving to death whilst trillionaires hoard money.
Elon Musk is now a trillionaire. More specifically, his net worth is $1.2 trillion or $1200 billion. That number doesn’t even compute for most of us, so here is some helpful context:
The USDA needs $18.8 billion to feed every child in the US school system breakfast and lunch each day. Elon could pay for that 64x and still have money leftover.
The World Food Program needs $13 billion to feed the 110 million hungriest people on earth. Elon could pay for that 92x and still have money leftover.
The National Alliance to End Homelessness needs $9.6 billion to provide housing for every unhoused person in the United States. Elon could pay for that 125x and still have money leftover.
The average American teacher makes $74,495 per year. Elon could pay the annual salary of over 16 million teachers and still have money leftover.
The problem is not that we don’t have enough money. The problem is that we have built a world where one person can accumulate more wealth than the GDP of 180 countries while children go hungry, families drown in medical debt, teachers are forced to buy school supplies for their students, and people sleep on the streets.
This is a complete moral failure.
Just want to remind everyone that Elon Musk canceled $400 million in food aid for Gaza and Darfur, and to remind everyone when he held up a chainsaw, fed USAID into the wood chipper, and thousands of people have already died as a result.
That's who you're defending. History's first trillionaire.
WOW! Senior Iranian official reportedly say that under their agreement with Trump, the U.S. will release $25 billion of Iran’s frozen assets including direct cash transfers.
Remember when Trump attacked Obama for giving Iran $1.7 billion of their own money?
This is crazy!
Drove with my in laws today on 14.3.4. We almost got hit twice on the streets of West L.A., but FSD reacted in time. At first they couldn't believe that I wasn't actually driving, and that the car acted so effectively so fast to prevent accidents.
