I know this is controversial, but I don’t think the Jaylen Brown/Jayson Tatum chemistry was salvageable.
Jaylen was incredible in the 2024 Finals. He deserved real credit. But when you go back through the tape, Tatum was the one constantly attracting the defense, creating advantages, and making the game easier for on his teammates.
Jaylen got the trophy, but Tatum was the engine of both ends of the floor that allowed it to be possible.

IT got sent to prime Bron and is currently employed as a scout
35 yr old Pierce/37 yr old KG were traded to rebuild after 5 empty playoff runs
JB sucks yet was sent to a good Philly team
The Celtics are the only team not allowed to trade their players to remain competitive
Here is something I don't think Boston Celtics governor Bill Chisholm understands.
The Boston Celtics are further developing a negative reputation around the NBA.
It started with Danny Ainge trading beloved star Paul Pierce.
It really started with the way things went down with Isaiah Thomas.
Jaylen Brown and Jayston Tatum were able to repair so much of it, but much of that work has been undone with how things went down with Jaylen Brown.
Yes the NBA is a business and players are on under contract. However, the Celtics are lucky they haven't had to deal with a James Harden / Jimmy Butler type of star who will force their way out of the organization, leading you to a bad deal.
This is a tough situation for the organization to be in and I'm nervous about it.
@holl6948@RedsCigar@PerSources His job is more than making shots, you're braindead
JB has never averaged 20+ on 50/40/90. He hasn't even hit 80%FT yet you wanted him on the team because he averaged 28 (on average efficiency while getting the ball every possession) while being a subpar playmaker and defender💯
@ShiftyBostonian Don't have to do it, but doing it undoubtedly makes scoring easier. Imo the blame lies with the league for letting it get this bad and I'll always hate players like SGA or Embiid, but I don't blame them for taking advantage of shitty/inconsistent refereeing when it helps them win
@holl6948@RedsCigar@PerSources "Why don't they sell low instead of sell high" 👌 Because DWhite's still impactful when his shots don't fall and JB isn't
@barstoolswe@Jake34812489@Kingly0729@397Y2@SuperLeadGenAff@TheMisterMarcus i mean they're drawing a lot of As and Ts, dont have the prior hands for context but I would definitely not raise my bet. Winning 4 in a row does not mean the count is in your favor - unless you're winning without drawing high cards, which he drew a lot of
@EuroHarden lmfao like if we did this our bench guard would be Conley. I'm a big Trey guy but these guys just see player names, incapable of understanding any fit. Why would we trade for two more forwards? Ignoring the picks involved, not even worth mentioning
🚨 EXCL: Arsenal make approach to Chelsea for Alejandro Garnacho. Arteta said to be a big admirer of the player since his #MUFC days and is pushing for the deal. #CFC will ask for up to £85 million but price can be driven depending on negotiations. https://t.co/nGW4KOIWBn
“In 2023-24, a campaign where Tatum finished sixth in MVP voting — like Brown did this past season — Tatum’s on/off splits were in the 42nd percentile. There were no character-limit pushing social media posts about Tatum’s inefficiency after that season.”
