Confirmation bias is dangerous.
Its crucial to CONSTANTLY widen your perspective. Expose yourself to things you don't know, ideas that challenge your beliefs, cultures different from your own, etc.
Literally become critical of what you know and don't know.
Otherwise, you're simply trapped in the bubble you were born into, with all its limitations and beliefs you've come to accept as TRUTH / REALITY.
Wake up to reality...
@tradermatt just because its an A+ doesn't mean that you're better off than a C setup.
every trade (setup) has a 50% chance of winning/losing. = Trading is Gambling.
our only job is to take calculated risks on our next trade.
Care, but don't care too much. This is literally what trading has taught me.
The harder I tried to become profitable, the harder it became. And the less I cared, the better my outcomes.
Lmao 3yrs into this game, and I've made my journey unnecessarily harder than it had to be.
Inviting demons to attack me. Literally wanting to fight the Spartans 24/7. Not to mention Hannibal Barca.
I desperately wanted it to work out. Thats why I worked harder, always going the extra mile.
I wanted to become rich yesterday. But where has it brought me. Nowhere. I'm basically still in the same place.
Yet this very obstacle showed me the solution: Doing the opposite.
> caring less about trading
> embracing laziness
> Taking one step at a time climbing that mountain
Yes, I know its obvious, but the obvious things are often the ones that make all the difference.
But once I applied this mindset, my life improved, and the stress trading caused me decreased significantly.
@davidsenra he probably would have achieved far more if he had slept more, taken regular breaks and worked without any distractions.
Once again, hard work = overrated.
not really. its just something you hear everywhere, and that is why people think its the truth.
also, saying otherwise whilst being at the top will just give you unnecessary hate or jealousy, because you went against the so called "truth" and thus don't deserve success.
laziness is far better when applied correctly. this means focusing on the signal rather than the noise and always trying to do things faster and with higher quality while doing less.
This is the real flex.
We we're meant to create things in life, not consuming it away.
We were meant to live, not to drift through life passively, merely existing in it.
And yet, you see it all over people's faces these days. A fire within them that has forgotten how to burn.
Its death supported by society, influencing us into paths through passivity, teaching us behaviors, beliefs, reasonings and more...
Blocking our ability to see the world beyond our surroundings. Trapping us in a reality of our environment, unable to imagine another path or question it, because passivity leaves no room for it.
Though the antidote is within us, its only seldom found, since the majority of minds are filled with noise. Yet, by following one's heart, embracing our own path, and doing the things that come naturally to us, we can experience extraordinary things.
