@VeeeKaaay@Kaylan_TX_ I guarantee you it wouldn't have made a difference anyway. These people support Trump for other reasons and then work backwards from there to come up with excuses for why.
If he actually believed this, he’d be advocating for universal healthcare, parental leave, early childhood education, better schools generally, and myriad other things that make it easier for young moms and dads.
Is he? No.
But y’all told me that DEI was about establishing “meritocracy” through hiring.
Hey, DEI experts on Twitter, what does erasing actual history have to do with that?
@NA_Dellsey@Txsocialwork221@ElieNYC Yep, they truly just do not care 😕 they like that he doesn’t know and think they can make it work however they want. And unless someone stops them, they are not wrong 😑
I have a sincere question for women who voted for trump. I just want to know how you feel now that he is trying to make it legal for an employer to not hire you or fire for getting pregnant or simply being a woman?
@Yamiche The idea that DEI means hiring people because of their skin color is a deliberate misrepresentation. DEI is about removing barriers and ensuring everyone has equal access to opportunities based on their talent and qualifications.
WH Press Sec Karoline Leavitt on all federal employees in DEI roles being placed on leave by 5pm Wednesday: “President Trump campaigned on ending the scourge of DEI from our federal government and returning America to a merit based society where people are hired based on their skills, not for the color of their skin. This is another win for Americans of all races, religions, and creeds. Promises made, promises kept.”
She pointed out that President Trump in his inaugural address he said he was going to do this. She added, “It should come as no surprise.”
Just putting this on your platform @elonmusk to make sure you saw that we all know what you did.
Hey @JeffBezos, @finkd, Tim Cook, & @sundarpichai, any thoughts about your buddy doing this?
