this whole “I’m not going to actively campaign or in any way make a proactive argument for why I should be the nominee but still expect voters to elect me” mindset is how you end up with Graham Platner taking over the race in the first place
Florida Republicans have drawn a new congressional map that they hope produces a 24-4 GOP delegation in Florida.
One of the 4 remaining Democratic seats would be the seat of the 83-year old Frederica Wilson, who is absent from the House but still running for reelection.
This shows a severe lack of investment in basic political education given that nonpartisan races in other states easily track 1:1 with partisanship. Abrams left the Georgia Democratic Party a complete trash heap.
Oh boy. In Nebraska, the Democrat (a Biden State Department official who coordinated aid to Israel) *loses support* after folks learn more about him.
But populist @ahlmanforne (who just launched an independent campaign) not only gains support, he *leads the Republican incumbent.*
First the unions propping up Pratt.
Now the Police boosting Huang.
I don't know if this f*ckery is effective, but it certainly speaks to the level of cynicism among powerful interests aligned with Bass who benefit from the status quo.
This is not suprising to anyone who has ever covered Becerra. He once held up his fingers in the sign of the cross to ward me off, as though I were a vampire, after a piece accurately describing his effort to undermine Pelosi with the Prog Caucus over ACA public option.
Don’t preach about bringing moral clarity to our city while lying to trick your supporters into thinking everything is rainbows and sunshine so they keep on donating. Don’t preach about how Bass is dishonest on the budget while LYING about something as simple as a campaign budget
Shortly after the 4/23 filing Rae doubled down, claiming that she was first to receive public matching funds (over $500k!) despite the fact that over a week prior Raman and Bass both got their checks. Bold faced lie you can contrast w/ Ethics site:

This makes electing Steyer over Becerra absolutely crucial. You need someone who isn’t reliant on the system to pull a 52-0 sweep off and Becerra will never be that in a million years.
@admcrlsn 78 is quite different from 68, and I feel that people generally get that Cooper alone can flip a purple-red state while Maine has never gone for Trump. IE Mills never came across as a silver bullet, which meant voters could have options.
Good reminder that if Dems had won the house, they would be in the minority because so many of members keep dying of old age. But if you point this out it’s because you hate old people
For too long, Los Angeles has treated Hollywood as an inconvenience rather than an asset.
The result: 50,000 jobs lost
When I’m mayor, LA will be a reliable partner to film productions. We’ll staff a real city film office, eliminate fees for smaller productions, simplify permitting, and get rid of ridiculous conditions that stall production.
