Yesterday a worldwind of a day, and I'm very sorry to say we lost Allie. She was doing amazing, spiking in weight since intake, and getting along great with the kittens she was paired with. She finsihed her deworming flawlessly, no diarrhea whatsoever. But the last day or she had a slight drop in weight and appetite. I thought, "No worries!" And gave Mirataz, fluids, nutrical, ect. I started giving her some high calorie recovery food as well, and she continued on. No diarrhea, no dehydration, she was doing good. Well today she suddenly crasged and dropped in temp. Gums were still pink so I put her immediately in an incubator to warm her up, to see if it was a temp regulation issue. After her temp went up, Allie was still out of it. So I rushed her right to the ER, where even after dextrose and supportive care, she didnt make it. The doctors werent shre what brought on the sudden crash, but I just hope Allie is in a better place now. She was such a bright and happy kitten, and really enjoyed her kitten friends and pets. Fly high, Allie. 💔🙁
