We tested a vented boot against a standard boot. The temperature inside both boots rose to over 37 degrees. The vents appeared to have little cooling effect at all. Use Cryochaps to cool legs quickly after exercise.

It is important to prevent leg waving your horse whilst applying Cryochaps, the curling of the hind fetlock can exert excessive force on Cryochaps & damage them.
Gently push the pelvis toward the waving leg to persuade it back on the ground.
