Last years we experienced a series of unprecedented #heatwaves in #Antarctica and recently we quantified a shift of the 0ºC isotherm of more than 100 km in 70 years, fastest than the global #climatechange.
I explain it all in this article at https://t.co/r0qUGrxxpX

Snow Physics students from @EPFL together with Hendrik Huwald, Yael Frischholz, @SharaborovaE, and Grégoire Bobillier analyzed snow profiles, did stability tests, and water percolation at an excursion to Col de Bretaye. All knowledge from the class was tested in the field.
🗓️Save the date: April the 4th
Seminar: Atmosphere-Snow interactions through the lens of stable water isotopes; the impact for ice core records.
Presenter: Dr. Sonja Wahl @SnowSonja_
