We know it has been a while since you've heard from our team.

The crypto industry and Bitcoin Layer 2 space have been changing rapidly since the day we started, and this entire time we have been busy adapting our capabilities and ideas to meet what we can see as market demands.

It's been a path of challenge and uncertainty and the time has come to announce our difficult decision to stop pursuing the release of a UTXO Stack product. In line with this decision, and as a commitment to our investors, we are returning all remaining funds on a pro-rata basis.

We will however, continue to contribute to the BTC/CKB ecosystems with the time we have left, and we look forward to open sourcing what we've built over the last 18 months.

For UTXO Stack, this may be the end of a road, but this experience has shown us that our industry really is at the beginning of something game-changing and we know that working in the intersection of BTC and CKB is the right place to be.

We see a bright future and are looking forward to traveling with you, innovating toward a truly decentralized and permissionless network of value.

We are a startup focused on the stablecoin with Lightning Network and Bitcoin smart contracts. We have sufficient cash reserves to support product development for more than 24 months. We are converting a portion of our cash reserves into Bitcoin, partly to meet the liquidity needs of our Lightning Network nodes and partly because we are optimistic about Bitcoin’s price trend in the short to medium term (not to mention the long-term trend). Our funding primarily comes from VC.

比特币的这个远古漏洞和ETH的The DAO事件完全不是一个性质的事情。The DAO不是ETH本身，是ETH上的一个应用，这个应用的BUG事实上也没有溢出这个应用之外对整个ETH造成破坏，只不过这个应用在当时在全网占的份额比较大，但再怎么大也是一个局部事件，之所以会有漏洞也不是ETH主网本身的漏洞，不应该用硬改全网的方式来回滚。

ETH的基础共识是“世界计算机”，是在区块链上提供图灵完备的编程，众所周知，图灵完备的计算机是不可能从操作系统的底层设计上杜绝bug的，操作系统再怎么设计完美，只要它提供图灵完备的可编程性，那么就难免其上跑的应用会出bug。ETH通过gas的机制巧妙地控制了程序的边界，让任何应用程序不可能无限运转从而让主网宕机，这是一个伟大的设计。但问题是，按照“世界计算机”这个最大共识，ETH不应该为了个别应用程序本来就能被控制的局部bug而回滚，这既不符合“世界计算机”的本义，也不符合去中心化的纲领。相比之下，总量2100万显然是比特币之为比特币的基本共识之一，突破总量当然是一个破坏性的全局bug，修正它是应有之意。

简而言之，比特币回滚的理由很简单：比特币的总量极限是2100万，这是我们的共识，所以要修正bug。而以太坊回滚的理由其实是说不过去的：因为“黑客攻击了整个世界计算机上的一个应用，因为这个应用本身的漏洞而有很多使用这一应用的人损失了很多钱，所以我们要回滚”。这个理由如果成立那么以太坊每年都得回滚几次吧。真正的理由是：“有很多大佬损失了很多很多钱，这些大佬是以太坊的核心参与者”。

正是那次回滚和分叉之争，奠定了ETH生态是以V神和那些“举足轻重的大佬”为中心运转的这一事实，直到今天也走不出来。

很多人认为，火爆了一年多的BTC layer2生态已经退潮了，其实并没有。如果仅从资产发行角度看，确实有泡沫中起舞的感觉。但若从落地应用价值视角看就大为不同了。最近， @utxostack发布了一套DLSP（去中心化流动性质押协议）解决方案，种种特性指向其可能会加速原生闪电网络落地？来，说下我的观察：

1） UTXO Stack恰如“堆栈”其名，一直是 @NervosNetwork 颇具野心的战略王牌：

一方面要把CKB在BTC layer2的UTXO框架“标榜”拓展成大生态，提供模块化工具包，使开发者可以一键部署UTXO BTC layer2，最终愿景是和EVM BTC layer2的竞争中取得话语权，这一点很多人都清楚。

另一方面原因很多人忽略了，其是要把CKB这一轮创新性RGB++资产发行协议和 Fiber Network 增强版闪电网络核心两大特性，从幕后技术infra“后端”通过加速闪电网络应用落地摆到“前端”，让市场更直观的感受RGB++和Fiber闪电网络的技术创新意义。

2）RGB++的创新之处是允许用户在BTC L1发行各类资产，然后Leap到CKB搭建的可编程BTC智能合约二层环境中，在其中找到应用落地价值。这在当时对原本执着于BTC原生态的RGB协议无疑是“降维打击”。

RGB++不仅验证了RGB客户端验证协议的可行性，还用CKB链原有的钱包、链等基础设施，让大家抢先看到了RGB落地后的实际用例，某种程度上，RGB++是对RGB落地进展缓慢状态的一次“平替”；

Fiber Network则是CKB围绕闪电网络实现方案，通过模块化扩容技术做到了可支持多资产传输（BTC之外的生态资产）、跨域原子支付（和原来闪电网络原子互通），同时会通过加速闪电网络物理Node部署，以提供一个更快速、低成本、多资产、高隐私的安全支付网络。

客观讲，RGB++协议或许会受铭文等资产的叙事沉寂牵连，但Fiber Network要尝试做的闪电网络支付愿景加速并不会过时；

3）基于以上背景，再来看UTXO Stack的内容就不难理解了，简单而言：UTXO Stack基于RGB++资产发行协议Fiber Network，构建了一个聚焦于“支付”场景的增强协议。除了为闪电网络引入稳定币解决方案外，我觉得主要功能为DLSP（去中心化流动性质押协议）：

1、零成本节点通道，Node节点可以从DLSP流动性层预付资金帮助用户开通通道，降低用户进入门槛；

2、自动化流动性管理，用AMM模式的流动性管理模式降低Node运维方的管理成本；

3、流动性质押衍生特性，可以纳入Staking、Restaking等多样性金融玩法，发行LnBTC、LnUSD、LnCKB等流动性代币，让用户赚取收益的时候还不牺牲流动性；

比如，要运维一个上规模的Channel，通常需要大量资金预存，这不仅会锁住流动性，也是不小的成本压力，而有了DLSP的金融衍生平台助力，节点可以直接向DLSP平台借贷，不需要预存大量BTC，并通过收取交易费来支付借贷成本，会直接加速闪电网络节点运维方的出现，解决传统闪电网络发展缓慢的根本性问题。

除此之外，这还是 @babylonlabs_io 、 @goatnetwork 之外又一种给BTCFi应用场景带来原生非托管收益的解决方案。

这一DLSP layer层的搭建，如同一个全新的“Eigenlayer”在比特币闪电网络系统内初长成。

当加速闪电网络场景落地第一目标实现后，其提供的稳定币流通支持，去中心化兑换节点方案，钱包（JoyID）、P2P支付SDK、混合闪电网络等基础设施也会一并被应用到闪电网络生态内。

相当于，为闪电网络构建了一个原生的扩展层支持，至于能把闪电网络应用市场推动到什么层级，又会有多少基于闪电网络的配套创新玩法涌现，就静待其后续的发展吧。（近期UTXO Stack首次针对闪电网络的大规模空投激励计划值得关注。）

总的来说，UTXO Stack虽然名字很技术抽象化，但其为闪电网络构建的配套基础设施，以及接下来提速闪电网络生态落地的进程路线已经很清晰了。

当然，其TGE之后的市场估值预期也会和闪电网络的进展“正相关”。能不能重新定义UTXO框架的BTC layer2生态还未知，但闪电网络这条支付场景通道的大生态看来要被拿捏了？
