@Offsides88@MaZeH2O@samikatplays But also for the sake of argument, even if Battlestate originally wanted to make tarkov an MMO, my point is that they created what we know as the extraction shooter genre along the way
@Offsides88@MaZeH2O@samikatplays The core gameplay mechanics have always been the same. Yes the original plan was for pseudo/full map to map travel, but the premise was always: get in, get loot, get out. Tarkov couldn’t (and never tried) to function as a pure mmo
@Offsides88@samikatplays This is purely semantics though. The core gameplay of tarkov hasn’t changed since its inception. Just because the title of “extraction shooter” didn’t exist, doesn’t mean tarkov wasn’t. Tarkov was in full beta as an extraction shooter before marathon was even a thought at bungie
@Offsides88@samikatplays Escape from Tarkov released their beta in July 2017, two years prior to your claim from when “extraction shooters didn’t exist at the time”. Bungie did not create anything new, just a different version of something that already existed
@MacticsG1@DominantCub72 Tiger is the biggest issue with destiny. Its constraints are why destiny cannot push itself into a new realm. This is a direct quote from an ex bungie dev: “tiger is held together by duct tape and prayers. The only way forward is a new engine”
@MacticsG1@DominantCub72 While I believe this is a good faith argument, it’s entirely uninformed. Simply upgrading the engine isn’t a possibility due to a large number of factors, but mainly that there are a limited number of devs who can even properly work on tiger to begin with. We need a game in UE5
@KaineRich2555@DestinyBulletn While I’ll admit those folks were right, they were only right on a technicality. The mechanics turned out to be very easy, and the difficulty comes solely from the damage check. This normally is not the case and would absolutely give teams an advantage to learn mechanics
@azteka2020x@Novennial@SongLetsgather@RoboBabyMaybe@FrenchieHugo@DestinyTheGame@Destiny2Team I’ll follow this up by saying that my verity clear last year would’ve been hours and hours faster if I had the ability to go into normal mode to figure out the mechanics. That’s a big reason of why I think it will cheapen this raid race for specifically for non wf sweats like me
@azteka2020x@Novennial@SongLetsgather@RoboBabyMaybe@FrenchieHugo@DestinyTheGame@Destiny2Team “Hardcore” destiny players have been limited to 2 days a year where we can show our prowess, and opening up normal mode for the sake of accessibility is alienating the exact community that raid races have been built on imo. Casuals get forever to beat it on normal, we get 2 days
@Snap_and_Boom @nikgeneburn No thanks. We had this years ago and all it brought was a bunch of nakeds running around maps shoving high tier loot in their container and immediately leaving/dying
@TarekInnit @PAYDAYGame I would rather have more DLCs personally. I personally don’t care about cosmetics at all. A skin isn’t going to bring me back to payday, but a goodwill offer of more free dlc to early investors would

@PAYDAYGame Huge bummer for me personally. I don’t care about cosmetics and still feel a bit duped/punished for supporting you guys early as a gold edition owner. I’d rather get a year two pass included than cosmetics I’ll never use
